Rob Hennings is a strategist, writer and producer at McCarthy Hennings Whalen, Inc.
Rob Hennings helped create the ad campaigns for Senator Mitch McConnell's and Senator Susan Collins’ 2014 re-election efforts, leading to historic election day victories.
In 2012, Hennings created ads for Restore Our Future, Americans for Prosperity, and Linda McMahon for US Senate.
In 2010, Rob produced ads for Sen. Kelly Ayotte (NH) and Sen. Mark Kirk's (IL) winning campaigns. He also oversaw production of independent expenditure ads in dozens of House districts.
In 2008, Hennings wrote and produced ads for Sen. Mitch McConnell's historic win in Kentucky, helping McConnell survive a brutal onslaught from outside interest groups, millions from the DSCC and a self-funding opponent with deep pockets. He also produced the ad campaign for Sen. Susan Collins in Maine, helping Sen. Collins to a 22-point victory.
In 2005 and 2006, Hennings produced national TV ads supporting the confirmations of Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito. From 2005 through 2008, Hennings created print and radio ads encouraging deployment of Verizon's FiOS.
In 2004, Hennings produced the ad campaign for Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's historic win. Murkowski beat popular former governor Tony Knowles in a race heavily targeted by Democrats.
In 2003, Hennings wrote and produced ads for the Republican Governors Association for races in California and Kentucky. In 2002, Hennings wrote and produced ads for the successful re-elections of Sen. Susan Collins and Rep. George Nethercutt.
In 2001, Hennings produced ads for Oklahoma's successful Right to Work initiative. Outspent by Labor 3:1, the campaign generated a record turnout for a single-issue election in Oklahoma. In 2000, Hennings helped with Sen. Conrad Burns' tough re-election bid in Montana, the re-elections of George Nethercutt and Jim Nussle, and Darrell Issa's first election to the House.
Hennings is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
