Dave Whalen is a strategist, writer, and producer with more than two decades of political experience.

Whalen has worked extensively on independent expenditure campaigns. He has written and produced TV campaigns for winning races across the country, including in some of the most competitive races of recent cycles.

In 2022, Whalen worked with Senate Leadership Fund to win the closest Senate race in the country and reelect Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

In 2020, Whalen wrote and produced campaigns for winning races in Alaska, Alabama, Montana, and South Carolina.

Whalen worked on both the 2014 and 2018 campaigns of Governor Doug Ducey (AZ) and wrote and produced ads for the Super PAC supporting Governor Charlie Baker those same cycles.

In previous cycles, Whalen produced ads for the Super PAC supporting Senator Rob Portman (OH), and Restore our Future, the pro-Mitt Romney Super PAC that helped Romney secure the GOP presidential nomination in 2012.

Whalen has worked on winning statewide ballot initiative campaigns on issues including taxes, energy, and education.

In addition to politics, Whalen has worked on branding and legislative campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and national trade associations.

Whalen is a graduate of Wake Forest University and a long-suffering Demon Deacons fan. He lives in Washington with his husband, Colin, and their daughter, Mackenzie.
